"I chose Packet because it's one of those concepts that feels invisible until you stop to look at it. Every second, trillions of data packets traverse the globe — carrying fragments of conversations, payments, photographs, love letters, and code. They move through fibre, through air, through undersea cables, through the vacuum between satellites. Most of them will never be seen by human eyes. They exist purely as transient states — here one moment, gone the next, their content reassembled elsewhere in a completely different place. There's something beautiful about that. The idea of being in transit. Of being neither here nor there but somewhere in between — a brief, luminous moment of connection before dissolution. This design is my attempt to visualise that moment: a single packet, caught mid-journey, carrying its cargo of structured data through the dark between destinations."

The Design
PACKET visualises a single data packet in transit — a glowing amber capsule of structured information traversing the void between network nodes. The translucent shell reveals hex patterns and binary code floating within, while a faint cyan tracer trail marks its path through the darkness. In the distance, network nodes flicker like stars, forming a constellation of connection points across an invisible infrastructure.
This is the second theme in what I'm calling the Infrastructure Series — a collection of designs that explore the invisible systems that underpin modern existence. Where Signal Lost explored absence, Packet explores presence in transit: the brief, luminous moment a piece of data exists as a discrete entity before being absorbed into its destination.

Edition Details
Each copy of PACKET is individually numbered with a permanent edition stamp in the bottom-right corner, identifying which of the five copies you own in the series. The edition plaque includes the design title, edition number, and machinedecides.com domain.
Once all five copies of each size sell, the design is gone forever. No second runs. No reprints. This is intentional — I want each piece to be a specific object, not an infinite commodity.

Each poster is printed fresh per order on premium 175 g/m² matte archival paper, carefully rolled in a rigid tube, and shipped via tracked courier. Free shipping on every order, anywhere in the world.

Each poster is printed fresh per order — we do not hold inventory. Production takes 2–5 business days, then shipped via tracked courier within 5–12 business days total.
Posters are carefully rolled in a rigid tube to ensure they arrive flat and damage-free. If your poster arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days for a free replacement.
Due to the limited-edition nature of these prints, refunds are not available — each run is finite and numbered.
